Facebook/Instagram Data Deletion Instructions

In accordance with Facebook Platform rules, if you wish to delete your data associated with the Instagram Messaging MVP, you can follow one of the methods below. These steps may also be referenced in your Facebook App Dashboard as part of the data deletion callback requirements. For more details, see the Facebook Data Deletion documentation.
Option 1: Self-Service Deletion
- Log in to the Instagram Messaging MVP dashboard.
- Disconnect all connected Instagram channels from the workspace.
- Navigate to your user profile and delete your workspace or user account.
- Once deleted, all stored messages, workspaces, and access tokens associated with your account will be purged within 30 days.
Option 2: Request Data Deletion
Send an email to privacy@bashforward.nl with the subject line “Meta Data Deletion Request”. Please include:
- Your full name and email address used in the Service.
- The Instagram Business Account ID(s) or Page ID(s) to be removed.
- Confirmation that you wish to delete all data associated with your account.
We will respond within 7 business days to confirm the deletion and purge your data within 30 days of verification.
What Gets Deleted
- Access tokens and permissions granted via Facebook Login.
- Instagram conversation history, messages, and attachments stored by the Service.
- Workspace configuration, automation rules, logs, and associated metadata.
Aggregated, anonymized metrics that do not identify you or your Instagram accounts may be retained for analytical purposes.
Verification
To protect your privacy, we may require additional verification (such as confirming control of the email address or Instagram account) before proceeding with deletion.
